Who are we?

Cornerstone Kitchen is located at the southwest corner of Ervay & Grand.

In an old liquor store supplied supernaturally by the power of the living God, 150 to 250 local homeless and low income men and women are hearing about the love of Jesus. These men and women are generally in bondage to drugs, alcohol, sex and poverty. As Jesus commanded in the bible, we carry the message of hope, love and God’s desire to set them free and give them an abundant life.

Volunteers arrive around 5:30AM on Sundays and begin preparing breakfast and sack lunches. Around 6:00AM the word of God is shared and an invitation is given to learn more about God’s plan for them to prosper and be in good health. During breakfast, volunteers speak with the men and woman and begin building relationships and trust. For those that desire to take the next step and sell out to Jesus, ministers from Care Center Ministries are available to share the details of a one year discipleship program and then take the men directly to a new home in Wills Point, Texas. While at Care Center Ministries these men are given the whole truth about the one true God and His will to see them experience the life He died to give them. They receive Godly teaching, daily responsibilities, construction and farm work and began saving money and building resumes for the future.

Cornerstone Kitchen serves a vital role in taking the Gospel to this dark area of Dallas. 15 to 20 volunteers are needed weekly to prepare, cook, clean and share the love of Jesus. If you have a desire to take the Gospel to the least, the lost and the lonely, please contact Clay York or Jason Johnston for more information.

Proverbs 19:8 - He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given.

Expanding Gods Kingdom requires a heart to serve and finances. Cornerstone Kitchen is completely dependent on volunteers and donors to provide the food and funding for supplies and resource material. Please make your tax deductible donations to Lake Pointe Church. Please write Cornerstone Kitchen in the memo section to ensure that these funds are set aside for this ministry.

Each week 50 to 70 men and women are present wanting to talk with someone about how they can beat the odds. Most know the Lord; they are just not sure how to get back to the place they once where. We would like to invite you to go and serve food or minister prayer and counseling.

We leave Lake Point Church at 5:15am each Sunday. We are generally back at Lake Pointe by 7:45am. Contact Clay York at 817-681-6092 or Jason Johnston at 903-907-4408 if you are planning to go.

If you have a recent story from your morning at Cornerstone Kitchen, email it to us at info@cornerstonekitchen.org.
